Welcome to Riverstone Private Game Farm, "a catharsis for the soul" (as described by one of our guests). Riverstone is situated 30 km outside of Ladismith in the Little Karoo. Surrounded by the majestic Klein Swartberg and Rooiberg mountain ranges.

Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and come and enjoy a few rejuvenating days soaking up the pure air of the Little Karoo.

Two bedroomed self-catering, fully equipped cottage. Comprises double bed, two single beds and a sleeper couch in the living area. Comfortably sleeps 4 adults. Linen and towels provided. Gas appliances, a wood fireplace and hurricane lamps add to the relaxed ambience.

With over 170 bird species, Riverstone is a paradise for avid birders.

Riverstone is the realization of a llifelong dream which we would like to share with others – an ordinary stock farm converted to a game farm. Game species include springbuck, black springbuck, kudu, eland, impala and mountain reedbuck. Most of the small cat species found in Southern Africa occur on the farm naturally. Guided game walks can be arranged.

Riverstone is situated in the middle of the Little Karoo Succulent Biome. Rare species such as Antegibbaeum fissoides, Crassula congesta ssp laticephala to mention a few, occur naturally as well as many other species. A definite must for plant lovers.

Approximately 3.5 hours from Cape Town. Turn off the R62 approximately 15 km before Ladismith onto the R323 (Riversdale Road) and travel for about 15 km until you reach the Kromkloof/Vanwyksdorp signboard. Turn left onto this dirt road, over the bridge until you reach the entrance gate to the cottage.
